Culture of the

 

        The Danube Cultural Society strives to promote and maintain various forms of German Culture found along the Danube River region in Europe.  More specifically the Society promotes the culture of the Bavarian, Viennese, and Donauschwaben. 

       Within each of these German cultures is a vast array of distinct customs and traditions that are associated with that particular German culture.  Our society uses the art forms of dance, song, and poetry to promote these German cultures.  Along with these different art forms, the society also promotes the German culture by hosting a number of German events throughout the year, such as our annual Kirchweihfest and Schlachtfest.  To add to these events the society prepares a number of traditional German dishes, such as bratwurst, saurma, and schnitzel.

       We are proud at what we have been able to accomplish thus far and we plan to promote and maintain our German culture for many more years to come.
